Homecoming is always a special time in a college town, bringing together students, alumni, and the community to celebrate school spirit and tradition.
In recognition of that tradition, Cochran Mayor Carla D. Coley and Bleckley County Commissioner Mike Davis signed proclamations this week declaring next week “Middle Georgia State University Week” in Cochran and Bleckley County in celebration of the university’s upcoming Homecoming.
Accepting the proclamations on behalf of Middle Georgia State University were Randy Thompson, Director of Community Engagement; Jennifer Brannon, Vice President of Student Affairs; and Michael Brown, Athletic Director.
Homecoming week will include a variety of activities on campus, including baseball games scheduled throughout the weekend and other events for students, alumni, and the community to enjoy.
For many in Cochran and Bleckley County, Middle Georgia State University is an important part of the community, and Homecoming offers a chance to celebrate the students, traditions, and pride that make the university special.
